Opening F4 Gerardabrug Sint-Niklaas

The Province of East Flanders is working together with the Flemish government, the local authorities and Infrabel on the realisation of the cycle highway F4 Ghent-Antwerp cycle highway.
The 90-metre-long Gerarda Bridge over Vijfstraten in Sint-Niklaas is a reference to former cyclist Gerarda Van Steelandt from Nieuwkerken. The bridge ensures a safe crossing of the intersection and smooth passage of the F4 cycle highway along the back of the station.
On Sunday 2 June at 11am, the new cycle bridge will be opened in the presence of deputy Riet Gillis, mayor Lieven Dehandschutter and alderman Carl Hanssens.
